Taking time off, Bruce saw the city healed when villains were locked up by The Dent Act.A new group of younger rogues plagued Gotham now. The fairy-tale kingdom was ruble after they came through. It was time for Gotham’s White Knight to emerge once again, taking down old foes, released from Arkham Asylum, and new nightmares freed from the storybooks you were read as a child. Gotham wasn’t ready for what was in store, no one would be. For some, it means parading around town in funny costumes, burning buildings, stealing whatever suits you best, be it money, a diamond, or a life. And then there was him.He’d stand tall atop a gargoyle perched on a building. The black rubber suit was known by all, citizens and villains alike. The people of Gotham saw a hero, a mysterious figure in the dark who would protect them, save them from harm. Villains saw the troubled man within. Some knew who wore the mask, most didn’t. He’s the hero Gotham deserved, a silent protector, a watchful eye. It had been a few years since Gotham had seen their white knight. Unknowingly electing the corrupt villains to run the city, the citizens were overrun by a fairy tale nightmare. New scoundrels emerged into the scene. Rogues of Gotham ran wild, destroying everything they touched.He remembers a quote from his father, Why do we fall?
